EAP Core Technology

Through EAPA, the service provided by EAP is classified into the following 7 elements:

  1. Management of employees with problems, improvement of the work environment, consultation concerning the improvement of employees' performances, training, and help, all provided for the organizational leaders (managers, union members, personnel). Also, the education of the employee and his/her family about EAP services.

  2. Providing of a confidential and prompt detection of problems and assessment services, so as not to let personal problems of individual employees have an adverse effect on performance.

  3. To make an employee, who has a personal problem that is affecting his performance, realize the relationship between the individual's personal problems and performance, using constructive confrontation, motivation, and a short-term interventional approach.

  4. Referral of an employee to an internal or external institution providing assistance, for the medical consultation, treatment, and help; referral; and follow-up.

  5. Consultation to organizations to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with service providers such as those providing treatment, and management and administration of such service provider contracts.

  6. Carry out consultation to an organization to enable policy coverage of the medical treatment necessary for alcoholism, drug abuse, and medical and behavioral problems such as psychiatric or psychological disorders, and subsequently to urge employees to make use of the coverage.

  7. To confirm the effectiveness of EAP in an organization or personal performance.
