Recommendation of Mediation Skills

Output-based work assessment will emphasize improvement of the individual's performance, but may lead to unnecessary and excessive competition. Also, because there is a clear responsibility to explain the objectives and results on the job, personal relationships will be damaged in a Japanese workplace, where people are used to communicating in a high-context work culture that is filled with implied knowledge. As western-style management methods were introduced in Japan, so were the problems that are associated with it. A prime example of this is the conflict that arises in the workplace. Working together with the U.S. Mediation Institute, we at JEAP can introduce mediation methods that have been proven effective in the U.S.
